is trade show season and I often ask people visiting our booth –

DAPgateway™
Launched
at DistribuTECH 2010
ASAT
Solutions Inc. successfully launched its DAPgateway™
for IEC-61850 at DistribuTECH 2010 in Tampa, Florida on March
23-25. Integrated with IEC-61850 IEDs from major manufacturers
such as ABB, Areva, GE and SEL, the DAPgateway™
demonstrated its capability in facilitating a true multi-vendor
IEC-61850 based substation system. Combining with the DAPserver™,
the DAPgateway™ enables power system operators
to mix and integrate legacy and IEC-61850 IEDs to a single system.

DAPgateway™ added to the DAPserver™
product family, we can help customers to upgrade or expand their
legacy substation systems to IEC-61850
based Smart Substation with a migration approach,” said

The
DAPgateway™ is also available in DAPmini™
which will enable D20 RTU users to integrate IEC-61850 IEDs with
