Making
your Smart D20 RTU Smarter!
What
is the DAPmini™?
-
The DAPmini™
will act as a Master and poll the data from the D20. Besides
polling the D20 data, the DAPmini™ can
now act as a data concentrator for other substation IEDs
(serial or IP based devices).
-
- Once the data is in the DAP
mini™ -
we can present the data in a more user friendly format
with our integrated HMI package. In addition to the real-time
data access, the DAP
mini™ -
can also provide access to the Non-operational data from
IEDs
-
-
- The built in firewall
and security features of the DAP
mini™ -
-
makes securing the D20 easy. Addressing NERC compliance
in a simple step.
-
-
-
- Our team at ASAT
has been working with the D20 since its first release
in 1988. The DAP
mini™ -
-
-
is a single box expansion module to enhance the D20 and
provide a migration path from an RTU to a substation information
server. Engineered for simplicity!
ASAT Solutions Inc. was awarded multiple contracts
by National Transmission Company of the Philippines
to supply DAP mini™ and DAP server™
for various substation projects in the Luzon and
Visayas regions. DAP mini™ server
will be used to upgrade some existing D20 RTUs for
enhanced network communication, remote maintenance
and substation HMI applications. DAP server™
are being used as the substation server to integrate
substation IEDs from ABB and Siemens.
ASAT’s engineering team has recently completed
a Distribution Automation (DA) project for ATCO
Electric at Wolf Lake, Alberta. Working in partnership
with the ATCO team, ASAT designed and successfully
implemented a DA algorithm that reduces outages
and improves reliability of supply to ATCO’s
major customer, Canadian Natural Resources Ltd –
a major Canadian energy producer.
