Making your Smart D20 RTU Smarter!
What is the DAPmini™?
  • The DAPminiplugs inside the D20 chassis slot typically reserved for the analog modem.
  • This simple upgrade enhances the D20 with three 10/100MB IP based network and five additional serial ports for inter-substation or intra-substation connections.
How does it work?
  • The DAPmini will act as a Master and poll the data from the D20. Besides polling the D20 data, the DAPmini™ can now act as a data concentrator for other substation IEDs (serial or IP based devices).
  • Once the data is in the DAPmini we can present the data in a more user friendly format with our integrated HMI package. In addition to the real-time data access, the DAPmini can also provide access to the Non-operational data from IEDs
  • The built in firewall and security features of the DAPmini makes securing the D20 easy. Addressing NERC compliance in a simple step.
  • Our team at ASAT has been working with the D20 since its first release in 1988. The DAPmini is a single box expansion module to enhance the D20 and provide a migration path from an RTU to a substation information server. Engineered for simplicity!
  What can it do?
  • Securing the D20 for NERC compliance
  • DNP over IP to SCADA instead of DNP serial
  • Data concentrator –
    • Multi-vendor relay integration
    • Connection to sensors for transformer monitoring
    • Meter data integration
  • Secure remote access
    • Non-operational data
    • Remote access to Wesmaint and other D20 maintenance tools
    • Integrated substation HMI
Can I try it out?
  • Absolutely!  Contact us to arrange for an evaluation unit or our Try and Buy program.
  • Give us your D20 information, we can pre-config the DAPmini at the factory so you can just plug and play! Our goal is to provide the upgrade without major hardware and software changes to the D20.
