ASAT Welcomes New Members to its Board of
Advisors
ASAT Solutions
Inc. is pleased to announce that Mr. Stewart Saunders
and Mr. Brent Strader have
joined ASAT as Strategic Business Advisors. With
their extensive knowledge and experience from the
electric power utilities, product and service industries,
they will help guide ASAT’s business direction
to better serve you, our customers.
Mr. Stewart Saunders brings his wealth of electricity industry experience to
ASAT as a seasoned utilities executive. "I
am delighted to join ASAT, a progressive company
which provides great value to the Electricity Infrastructure
Business. ASAT has product innovation, practical
development and a great customer service ethic,
and I can help them realize their potential,"
said Mr. Saunders. He has recently retired as the
Chief Operating Officer (COO) of CLP Power in Hong
Kong . Prior to CLP Power, Mr. Saunders
held various senior executive positions in Manweb
and ScottishPower in the UK .
 Mr. Brent
Strader brings 25 years of experience in electric utility automation product
supply and services. “It is great to be part
of the ASAT team," said Mr. Strader. “It
is an exciting time to be in the electric utility
sector as it goes through incredible innovation,
and ASAT is well positioned with key technologies
and people to address this dynamic environment.”
Mr. Strader has held senior management positions
with General Electric, GE Harris and Westronic Inc.
He most recently led the GE Substation Automation
business in Calgary , Canada
as General Manager.

VLA – KCRC/MTRC Project
VL Automation, an industrial automation solutions provider
in Hong Kong and a Value Added Reseller of ASAT, has successfully
deployed ASAT’s DAPserver™ in its ICM (Intelligent
Control Manager) systems. VLA’s project is with KCRC/MTRC,
which operates the metro and railway networks that serves 3.4
million passengers daily in Hong Kong .
Powered by ASAT's DAPserver™ software with comprehensive
redundant server and communication architecture, the ICM systems
integrate various motor managers, relays and PLCs for effective
station controls and automation. These redundant systems with
seamless failover capability have successfully passed comprehensive
site tests and have been in operation since 2007 Q3.
